Scotland Trip // Part 3
Thursday, May 23, 2013
After our walk around the city our second day there, we all drove* out to Tantallon Castle in East Lothian, where Brett and Liz met with their photographer again. This castle was built in 1350, and to be able to go explore and walk through most of it was mind blowing. Anthony enjoyed popping out of windows way up high and yelling down to us until we figured out where he was. After Tantallon, Anthony, Amy, Rachel and I went to Dirleton to try to see another castle, but we got there too late and it was already closed to the public. The next best option was to go have our first beer at a Scottish pub. We did, and it was delicious.
*We rented cars while we were there. It was our first time driving on the opposite side of the road, with all the different street signage, and it. was. terrifying. To begin with anyway. After we got the hang of it we were zipping around town like we were locals lol.
That castle looks so cool! And I LOVE the fourth photo! Was that a lighthouse on the rocks?
ReplyDeleteYeah! It's a lighthouse, and I guess the remains of a chapel are there too.
