Words by Cassandra Dias
Photography by Corinna Hopmann

We wandered in and out of the endless adjoining rooms and lengthy hallways for hours, feeling overwhelmingly grateful and so very fortunate that we were able to behold all that beauty created by the hands of individuals so in tune with their crafts.
There was a lovely loneliness to it that compelled me to stand for a while and just take it all in.
Then, I came across it. That one piece that spoke to me unlike any of the others.

There was a lovely loneliness to it that compelled me to stand for a while and just take it all in. Every line, every curve, the subtle blending of colors...every movement was deliberate, and I had to wonder what the artist was feeling when their paintbrush met the canvas. Was it the same flow of emotion the piece was evoking from me? And in that moment, artist and observer were connected.
