I don't believe there is a better time than autumn to freshen up your spice rack, restock on old favorites, explore new automatics, and get excited about good old fashioned cooking. As soon as the leaves turn, and the chilled air nips at our faces, I am rejuvenated with energy to cook things low and slow, and savor all things toasty. For us, sage is all the rage in our kitchen these days, whether it be on squash or pasta or simply to flavor our extra virgin olive oil.
