I taught myself how to do many things in order to create pieces for my shop, Oh Leander, and silk screen printing was one of them. In the beginning when my shop first opened I made only collages and crocheted items, then quickly branched out to try my hand at new artistic approaches.
Trial and error was the only way for me to perfect the technique (as I think is the same for most endeavors)...
Silk screen printing appealed to me because I wanted to be able to create custom pieces that were easily identified as relating to my brand. So I bought a home silk screen printing machine and got to work. Trial and error was the only way for me to perfect the technique (as I think is the same for most endeavors), but I can finally say that I have mastered this particular method. Now, onto the next.
