Words & Photography
by Amanda Nolan Booker

It’s spring again. The daffodils are in full bloom; their perfume fills my head and makes me grow fond of everything. This pale Spring light has brightened the walls of my house, leaving only traces of winter’s darkness in corners. And I’m in love. This is my home.
This pale Spring light has brightened the walls of my house, leaving only traces of winter’s darkness in corners. And I’m in love.
But home is a shapeless thing. It changes form more frequently than the seasons. Today it’s a place to lay my head. Tomorrow it may be the loyalty of a friend. Walls cannot contain it. It could be a job offer, a shared laugh, a good cry, a new favorite song on repeat for hours and hours.

You'll find me there. I could stay one hundred years, or more.
