Words & Photography
by Bethany Douglass

This morning we began with a simple lesson in how to poach an egg. To accompany it, I chose a bed of kale and chard (because let's be honest, my children will never opt for it). They chose the sautéed baby bellas, garden thyme, and bacon. For all the sweet nostalgia of having babies and toddlers, I'm enjoying this new season with older children, hearing and understanding their perspectives and ideas right in the mix with my own.
