It was a no nap, play hard kind of day. Her feet are dirty from playing outside, her skin sun kissed, and her sun bleached hair smelling of summer's sweet breeze.I just picked her up and carried her to her room where I hope she'll sleep until morning. She's been passed out since 5:30, and even the loud noise of dinner's clean up wasn't shaking her from the deep sleep that she's in. It was a no nap, play hard kind of day. Her feet are dirty from playing outside, her skin sun kissed, and her sun bleached hair smelling of summer's sweet breeze. This is just one of the many types of moments I dreamt about before ever becoming a mother. It's moments like these that tend to sweep me right off my feet, reminding me of those days I spent dreaming up the family I now get to love on today. A simple moment that was just so. I'm tucking this one close to my heart.
