My husband walked in the door this afternoon, flowers in hand and said, "Had I known in the beginning how much of an amazing wife and mother you were going to be, I wouldn't have waited so long to marry you. Think of all that time we wasted!" You guys, we got married 4 months after our first date.

He may have said those sweet words because they are mostly true ;) but it could also have something to do with the grumpy demeanor someone (not naming names) had this morning before any coffee was consumed.

Marriage is hard and holy work. But it's good. So good.

Just keeping it real here, folks. Marriage is hard and holy work. But it's good. So good. Especially when your spouse brings you home apology pints of gelato, and a card that reads, "I'm sorry I'm such an [insert synonym for donkey]."
