Writing For Fun

Words & Photography
by Sandra Falcon

My favorite school project growing up was writing our own book. We were given a blank hardcover book and had the freedom to write and illustrate it. I still have the last one, an elaborate story about a girl who learns the value of family.
It's been years since I've written for fun and have piles of pretty notebooks that I've gotten with the intention of journaling.
It's been years since I've written for fun and have piles of pretty notebooks that I've gotten with the intention of journaling. Chris picked up a writing prompt book the other day and suggested we each randomly pick a page a week and just write. The only rules are that you have to write on the page you land on and the first thing that pops into your head after reading it.

So far we've gotten to write some silly childhood memories and some have made us wished we would have picked another lol. We plan to hand it to Emily and Luca to read later on. His today asked, "What is the most inspiring thing you have heard?" and as silly as the source sounds (coming from me) the first thing that popped into my head was, "We don't lose fights, we only win and we learn." From Conor McGregor after his fight lol. What's yours!?
