I've always been a big believer in spending money on experiences rather than things. I was shocked when the hubs surprised me with tickets to San Francisco, and couldn't wait to show him and bird all my favorite spots while exploring new ones.
This week we had plenty of "experiences", just more the kind you tell the grand babes for a good laugh, and less the kind you want to repeat. Literally everything that could go wrong on our trip did. From taking four hours to rent a car for 1 day, to having credit cards blocked for being out of state, to riding bikes two miles the wrong direction, to getting sick. It was wild.
This week we had plenty of "experiences", just more the kind you tell the grand babes for a good laugh, and less the kind you want to repeat. But everything happens for a reason and there were plenty of unforgettable and completely random moments as well. This was one of them. Nolan hates letting me drive because I am the type of driver that suddenly pulls over if I see something on the side of the road. But for this view, I think we can all agree it was worth the detour.
