She started singing and I joined in, and we looked at each other and laughed as we sang, and my heart felt so full from the connection and simple pleasure of sharing a song together.The other day I was sitting with E and we were coloring together. Even more so because I find it hard to say yes to getting down on the floor to play with the kids these days, even when I know it’s always, always worth it. (It’s just so hard to get up again...I either want to do nothing and rest or do all the things and nest.)
