Watching the storm roll in, eating homemade popsicles made from puréed baby food, and they’re eating them up.

Today was such a good good day and this is why: the past few weeks have been TOUGH. Every single person in the family had their fair share of illnesses, and I just haven’t been the best mom I can be because of the exhaustion and morning sickness baby number three has been causing me. We basically have been going through the motions of every day and just praying everyone survives. Seriously. It hasn’t been the best of our days.
We all thrive on schedules, and I have come to learn that over the years of mothering two. It helps mold our day into getting everything accomplished...
But now that everyone is feeling well, including mommy, I decided it was time to make a summer schedule. We all thrive on schedules, and I have come to learn that over the years of mothering two. It helps mold our day into getting everything accomplished: bible study, good meals, school time with mommy for both boys, quiet time/reading time for mommy, outside play time several times a day, etc.

When I have a schedule we can include it all into our days, and they’re so much happier because of it (and mama too)! Today was our first day of our summer schedule and it was such a good day. I don’t think I lost my patience once! Looking forward to another great day tomorrow.
