I am a work in progress. I am constantly evolving, changing, and learning. I used to think that once you grow up, you know yourself, you understand the world around you, and you have a clear picture of what you want out of life. You have a plan and you are on the path to success—whatever that is.
I am still learning about myself, and as my view of the world changes, so do I.You know what? It used to be sort of depressing to me. You grow up and then you just stop? Like, you arrive at adulthood and that’s it? It doesn’t have to be. I am still learning about myself, and as my view of the world changes, so do I. The more I learn about others' struggles, the more compassionate I become. The more I see of others' pain, the more forgiving and kinder I try to be. The more music, books, and film I consume, the more I want to contribute to the world of art—something I never knew about myself before!
I hope I am always a work in progress—striving to be better, stronger, wiser than I was the day before, and allowing myself to grow and change and be different, no matter what stage of life I am in.
