My little girl gang. To be honest I’ve always been nervous thinking about raising girls. There’s so much impossible pressure to be a million different things people expect you to be. There’s the potentially tumultuous mother-daughter relationship.
But I’m going to do my best to teach them to stand up for themselves, to be strong and determined and brave. That it’s okay to wear princess dresses and it’s okay to have firefighter tattoos.
But I’m going to do my best to teach them to stand up for themselves, to be strong and determined and brave. That it’s okay to wear princess dresses and it’s okay to have firefighter tattoos. To love God and love others. And that it’s okay to kick a few butts along the way. And I think they might be teaching me the same things.
