Lilacs

I get overly excited for my lilacs to bloom each spring. Growing up in the country, we were surrounded by woodland, blackberries, and best of all, enormous lilac trees...one of each color!

My favorite thing to do was surprise my mother with a beautiful arrangement of them on her kitchen table. It's a fond memory that comes back to me every time I smell them in our yard.
