Words & Photography
by Autumn Boucher

I’ve been saving up little squares of naturally-dyed linen and thrifted cotton scraps all summer long to piece together this simple and impactful quilt. Blush tones from avocado skins and pits, green hues from spinach harvested fresh from our garden, and a million and one different shades from onion skins.
The creative process of designing a quilt is something that really excites me. Using what I have and combining it with what nature gives us to make something new and purposeful, it has been so creatively fulfilling.

Almost done with assembly and then it’s time to hand stitch all the layers together- my favorite part.
