Handmade ceramics are one of the loveliest ways to add warmth and a comforting feel to a kitchen, table, or open shelf. Shapes that are not perfectly uniform and glazing that is unique to each individual piece distinguish handmade ceramics from the uniformity of the pieces that come off the factory line. Each functional piece is made by skilled hands using techniques and traditions that have been in our common heritage for millennia. But the time and skill required to create each piece mean that handmade ceramics are seldom cheap.
Adding the pieces we love to our home slowly, one at a time, can be a much more enjoyable way to create a warm and unique collection that feels truly unique to us.
The ceramic pieces we have in our homes do not all need to match perfectly. Acquiring them slowly, over time will create a wonderful and unique collection that is so personal to each individual household, and will make them all the more appealing. Adding the pieces we love to our home slowly, one at a time, can be a much more enjoyable way to create a warm and unique collection that feels truly unique to us. ⠀
