I’ve purposely avoided falling down the sourdough rabbit hole for years because I think knew I’d fall in love and become consumed. But the lack of yeast in stores everywhere drove me straight into its wildly obsessive arms and I made a starter last week.
...I woke up at 6am thinking about baking; all the different ways I could tweak and experiment, flours, scoring and rising/rest times...and y’all, I’m a convert.So many lessons to be found in this process. So sad I denied myself this simple joy for so long. Never looking back.
