Anthony heard about the Huntington Library from a co-worker, who, as luck would have it, had a couple free passes which he gave to us. This place was out of control beautiful! And it was so big, we spent most of the day there, and didn't even get to explore the entire grounds. We did however manage to take a stroll through the cactus, jungle, japanese and chinese gardens, as well as the actual library estate itself. I definitely recommend visiting if you have a free day :)

About a month ago, Anthony and I made a quick trip down to Escondido for lunch at Stone Brewing Co. It had been a couple years since we were last there, and this time, having expanded my love and knowledge of beer (after working at Rock & Brews for some time now), we enjoyed the experience so much more...and walked away with a couple full growlers. ;)

Pisces Sushi

To break up the monotony of our Saturday, Anthony and I decided to go out for a nice sushi dinner. We wanted to try some place new, and Pisces had gotten great reviews online. When we arrived, we found that it was literally a hole in the wall restaurant with only one place to sit inside, but the seats were free so we decided to stay and eat there. I think they were more used to take-out orders instead of actual in-house diners, so the service was pretty slow...however, the food was good and cheap, and the owners were super friendly, so we couldn't really complain! Plus, trying out new places to eat is always fun :)

La Jolla Weekend // Part 3

After the leisurely brunch on Sunday morning, we decided to visit another amazing tide pool spot, and the Old Point Loma Lighthouse. Afterwards, we drove to Ocean Beach and stopped in a couple antique shops, and had a late lunch at the Pizza Port (the BEST pizza I've ever had).
It was a great weekend!
