Sometimes it just feels like a looooot of moving pieces. January has this funky energy to it, right? So much "let's get this done", mixed with "let's just take a nap".

I'm not the most patient person, but I do believe that everything happens when and as it should...

We are at this point with our adoption where it just feels like so. much. waiting. I'm not the most patient person, but I do believe that everything happens when and as it should, so it's kind of a tricky spot I've found myself in. We've been active with our agency, waiting for a match for about 5 months now, and sometimes the waiting game is just frustrating.

If you know someone who's adopting, bring them dinner sometime. Or drop off a [big] bottle of wine and your favorite book. It's a really tumultuous time, but support and community makes all the difference.
