The softness of her cheeks and chubby thighs when my lips touch her skin, her milk breath, the smell of her hair in the morning, her tiny inquisitive fingers that gently explore my birthmarks while her little eyebrows are thoughtfully frowning, her slightly open mouth with a lip that sometimes moves in her sleep...

All those close up pictures that create our intimate love bubble and that are now carved in my head, they overwhelm me. It is them I wake up for, it is them I find rest in. Never have I imagined the motherhood would touch me that deeply.
