Years ago I had the pleasure of tasting homemade elderflower cordial in Denmark at the home of the amazing Marina Pagh. The cordial was incredibly refreshing, floral and citrusy, it was addictive and I’m afraid I nearly drank their whole bottle on my own!
The cordial was incredibly refreshing, floral and citrusy, it was addictive and I’m afraid I nearly drank their whole bottle on my own!Over half a decade later, after trying countless disappointing store-bought elderflower syrups and searching far and wide for the flowers, I finally came across a huge tree dense with blossoms only a few doors down from the apartment. Needless to say, I’m over the moon!
A few days from now I’ll have my own syrup of summery bliss, packed into bottles and ready to provide that heady taste of summer year-long...I can barely wait!
