We’ll be enjoying our harvest all winter long thanks to the canning we did this season, and every time we open up a new jar of apple and cinnamon and allspice, we will be reminded of how sweet hard work, planning, and preparation can taste.Every last apple in the house has been turned into pie or sauce or cider...and just like that, apple season is over. Nothing is better than the taste of late summer in the middle of a cold, icy day.
