On a winter's day like today, when I’m run-down, sick, and tired from a week of sleeping in my son's cot, I really start to crave sugar and carbs.
Cravings are usually a good indication that our bodies are telling us what we need nutritionally. Sugar cravings could mean we need more calcium and magnesium in our diet.
Cravings are usually a good indication that our bodies are telling us what we need nutritionally. Sugar cravings could mean we need more calcium and magnesium in our diet. So I made a smoothie packed full of banana, spinach, almonds and milk. All of these are rich in magnesium and calcium and should definitely ease those cravings, and get us feeling fighting fit again.
