Raisin’ my girl up right...
Always brunch.
Various practices of habit, and broad perspectives on home.
...the kind you can twirl and twirl and twirl on your fork and wash down with a good heady red wine. Records on, candles glowing. What fills you up right now? What fills you up in the wintertime?
To me, winter is one long celebration of Saturday morning. Or maybe, Saturday mornings are one long celebration of winter. Either way, the two were clearly made for each other. To me, winter is one long celebration of Saturday morning. Or maybe, Saturday mornings are one long celebration of winter. Either way, the two were clearly made for each other. Especially when we get a chance to sleep in, make yummy Dutch babies, and enjoy the sunshine from the cozy indoors. What's your favorite indoor winter activity?
Sitting together, enjoying great books, delicious treats, and each other’s company. Such a sweet bonding time for us all. I can’t believe my kids and I have been gathering together like this in one way or another for 2 1/2 years already. Sitting together, enjoying great books, delicious treats, and each other’s company. Been at this stay-at-home-mom gig long enough to know that I set the tone for how our days go. My attitude, my actions, my patience level, cause a trickle down effect.Really wanted to be annoyed when stripping and washing the window seat cushions got added to my list early this morning, but instead I helped them make this area into a racetrack, and that one small choice really made this Monday less Monday-ish.
My living room is an integral part of my home, used as both a work space and personal oasis. Balancing those energies can sometimes be tricky, especially after shifting into freelance work more steadily.Especially in a bustling city, I think it's important to have a place where you feel comfortable and at ease in order to unwind at the end of the day.
This space cost me about $50 using mostly things I already owned. So happy with it...A snap of my attic home office because I felt inspired to clean it today. Not pictured are piles and piles of denim samples already taking over. This space cost me about $50 using mostly things I already owned. So happy with it and kinda wish I snapped this photo with my camera, but I’m lazy.
I took apart the basket wall on the opposite wall several months ago and moved the baskets around, and this makes me much happier because it’s more minimal.I took apart the basket wall on the opposite wall several months ago and moved the baskets around, and this makes me much happier because it’s more minimal. I have three other baskets on the other side of the bed with some greenery hanging off of them and I love the combo. All my baskets except for one are thrifted. Eventually will want to switch out the little stool on the left, but my snake plant has been thriving and it’s growing so much I may have to figure out something else all together.
